She graduated in Theatre Studies and German Philology at Freie Universität Berlin and published a monograph entitled Träumen Sie schön. Ästhetischer Schein und gesellschaftliches Sein am Beispiel des Shoppingcenters (Aisthesis 2012) in which she critically analyses aesthetic qualities in the service of political and economic interests. Furthermore, she worked as Project Manager for an internationally operating media agency in Berlin.
