Stephanie Schlörb, M.A.

Stephanie Schlörb studied Art History, Classical Archaeology and British Literary and Cultural Studies at Saarland University (SU) and University College London. She worked as a student assistant at both the History of Art Department and the Institute of Classical Archaeology from 2007–2012, taking on an administrative role from 2012–2018, taught as a lecturer (maternity leave replacement) from 2014–2015 and as a freelance lecturer from 2016–2018 with the History of Art Department, SU. In 2017, she conducted research as an independent curator for the Saarland Monument Authority. In addition to her university studies she secured an internship with the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and worked as a freelance tour guide at the Saarlandmuseum, Saarbrücken. Since October 2015, Stephanie has been a PhD candidate in art history at Heidelberg University (adviser: Prof. Dr. Henry Keazor). Her dissertation focuses on unpacking the complex manifestations of antiquity and classical mythology in the works of Giorgio de Chirico. In 2017 she received the ELAN travel grant from the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung and has been a fellow of the Landesgraduiertenförderung Baden-Württemberg in corporation with the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz (Department Gerhard Wolf) since March 2018.
