Appointment in Florence. Photography according to Guido Guidi

Guido Guidi in conversation with Costanza Caraffa and Tiziana Serena

Guido Guidi is internationally regarded as one of the most important Italian photographers. In 2012 the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz invited Guidi to photograph the spaces of the Institute; a project he finished in 2016.

On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the Institute, a selection of these photographs has been published in the volume Appuntamento a Firenze – Ein Termin in Florenz – Appointment in Florence, edited by Costanza Caraffa and Tiziana Serena.

Appuntamento a Firenze – Ein Termin in Florenz – Appointment in Florence (Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther König, 77 photographs and 28 text pages, with articles by Costanza Caraffa, Alessandro Nova, Tiziana Serena, and Gerhard Wolf) is a publication of the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz - Max- Planck-Institut and the Verein zur Förderung des Kunsthistorischen Instituts in Florenz e.V.
