Dr. Margherita Naim

She studied art history, obtaining an Interuniversity PhD from Ca' Foscari University and IUAV University of Venice (2016). She is an independent researcher in History of photography and she taught this subject at Ca' Foscari University (2015-2018 AYs), and at the University of Turin (2019-2020 AY). Since 2011, she has been coordinator or professor at Photographic archiving courses in universities (IUAV, Pavia, Udine, Verona), as well as in conservation institutes (Fondazione Querini Stampalia - Venice, ICCD - Rome, Civic Museums - Triest). She curated photographic exhibitions (Paesaggi d'acqua nel Veneto, 2018), and coordinated photographic and documentary archive management projects (Sergio Bettini, P. M. Pasinetti, Italo Zannier). In particular, her research work focused on: photography in tourism promotion for cultural identity construction; industrial photography and Olivetti S.p.A.; orientalist photography in art archives; photography as historical document.
