Julia Biel, M.A.

Julia Biel studied art history, business administration and Italian studies at the Universities of Tübingen, Rome and Heidelberg. In 2019 she completed her Master of Arts with a thesis on modern sacral architecture in rural southwest Germany. From 2016 to 2019 she worked as project manager for exhibitions and didactic programmes at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. In 2018 she held a tutorship at the Institute for European Art History at the University of Heidelberg and in 2019 she completed an internship at the Photothek of the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max Planck Institute. From 2020 to 2021 she was curatorial assistant at the Ludwigsburg Museum and spokesperson of the working group Volontariat in the Museumsverband Baden-Württemberg. In 2021 she joined the Photothek of the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz as staff member.
