International Conference
Co-organized by the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles, California; the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence, Italy; and the Ayala Museum in Makati City, Philippines
This three-day conference addresses cultural and artistic exchange in the Pacific region from the late eighteenth to the early-to-mid-nineteenth centuries, examining the ways in which engagements between Asia, the Americas, and Europe transformed art styles and meanings through commerce, colonization, and conversion.
