Der Workshop, organisiert am Kunsthistorischen Institut in Florenz - Max-Planck-Institut, gefördert von der Getty Foundation, wurde als eine Plattform für junge Wissenschaftler aus der ganzen Welt entwickelt. Dabei sollen Forschungsprojekte präsentiert, aber auch Ideen zu Fragen der Globalisierung in der vormodernen Welt, des kulturellen Austausches, der Konstruktion von Topographie und Historiographie und stillistischer Transformation ausgetauscht werden - alles Kernthemen des Projektes "Art, Space and Mobility".

Der Workshop steht einer begrenzten Anzahl von Zuhörern offen.

Il 'workshop' organizzato presso il Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz - Max-Planck-Institut è stato creato come uno spazio dove giovani studiosi provenienti da tutto il mondo possano presentare le proprie ricerche. L'obiettivo è discutere ed elaborare idee su alcuni dei temi cari al progetto 'Art, Space, and Mobility', come, per esempio, gli scambi culturali, le trasformazioni stilistiche e la costruzione di topografie e storiografie durante la globalizzazione pre-moderna. Il 'workshop' è reso possibile grazie alla generosità di The Getty Foundation.
