Gudrun Swoboda: Caravaggio's "David" mis à nu: X-Ray, Infrared, XRF, and other Methods of Investigation

Dopo una passeggiata virtuale attraverso la mostra Caravaggio & Bernini: la scoperta degli affetti (15 ottobre 2019 – 19 gennaio 2020) recentemente inaugurata al Kunsthistorisches Museum di Vienna, il focus della presentazione si concentrerà su di un singolo dipinto esposto: il David con la testa di Golia di Caravaggio. Successivamente, verranno presentati e poi discussi (in inglese) i risultati delle diverse ricerche che negli ultimi anni si sono occupate di rispondere ai problemi di attribuzione, narratologia e genesi dell'opera in questione.
