VII Seminar of Armenian and Eastern Christian Art

This seminar, organized by Aldo Ferrari and Stefano Riccioni, in collaboration with Marco Ruffilli and Beatrice Spampinato, is part of a project that intends to draw attention to the rich artistic production of Armenia and the Eastern Christian lands, inviting international scholars to discuss future research perspectives in Armenian and Sub Caucasian architecture, art history and cultural heritage.

The seminar will take place in a series of online conferences. It is the result of a collaboration between the Università di Ca' Foscari's Departments of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage and Asian and North African Studies, under the patronage of the Centre for the Study and Documentation of Armenian Culture (CSDCA); the Mekhitarist Armenian Congregation; the Italian Association for the Study of Central Asia and the Caucasus (ASIAC); and it is joined this year by the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max-Planck-Institut.
