Berlin, Pergamonmuseum

Parul Singh, Postdoctoral Fellow (May 2021 to March 2024) of the Research and Fellowship Program 4A_Lab is working in the framework of her fellowship with the Museum of Islamic Art in Berlin. She recently opened her second co-curated exhibition there. Together with Deniz Erduman-Çalış from the Museum of Islamic Art, she curated the special exhibition in the Museum’s Book Art Cabinet (Buchkunstkabinett) entitled Rhythm and Colour. Musical Scenes on Indian Album Leaves of the 16th to 18th Century (https://www.smb.museum/en/exhibitions/detail/rhythm-and-colour/). The exhibition runs until 25 June 2023 and provides a fascinating insight into the soundscape of the Indian subcontinent through selected miniature paintings.

The exciting accompanying program consisting of live performances and sound interventions is curated by Philip Geisler, Trickster Orchestra and former Doctoral Fellow of the 4A_Lab (February to October 2022).
