Michele received his doctoral degree from the Université libre de Bruxelles, and an extract from his dissertation was awarded the Bruno Zevi Prize in 2023. He has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Liverpool, TU Delft, and the Université Catholique de Louvain, and was the recipient of the 2024 H. Allen Brooks Travelling Fellowship from the Society of Architectural Historians.
