Ivo Raband received his Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Bern in 2016 with a dissertation on the Joyous Entry of Archduke Ernest of Austria into Brussels and Antwerp in 1594. From 2012 to 2016, he was a member of the interdisciplinary SNF-ProDoc Sites of Mediation and until January 2018 a Postdoctoral Assistant Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Bern, Department of Early Modern Art History (chair: Prof. Dr. Christine Göttler). For his new project he received a Junior Fellowship from the Walter Benjamin Kolleg (Bern) and an Early Postdoc.Mobility Fellowship from the Swiss National Science Foundation which allows him to work in Florence and Antwerp. Recent publications include "Staging Genoa in Antwerp: The Triumphal Arch of the Genoese Nation for the Blijde Inkomst of Archduke Ernest of Austria into Antwerp, 1594" (2016) and "A Forgotten Original or an Original Copy? On MS. Douce 387 in the Bodleian Library: Collecting Early Modern Festival Books" (2018). His dissertation is scheduled to be published as an OpenAccess eBook in early 2019.
