Agnese Ghezzi, M.A.
Agnese Ghezzi is a PhD Candidate at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca (Curriculum Analysis and Management of Cultural Heritage) and she is working on the relationship between photography and ethnography in Italy from 1861 until 1911 (advisor: Linda Bertelli, co-advisor: Kelley Wilder). In 2018, she was Visiting researcher at the Photographic History Research Centre, De Montfort University, Leicester (UK). She studied Modern and Contemporary History at the University of Florence, the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, and the University of Bologna. After an internship at Castello D'Albertis Museum of World Cultures in Genoa (2015), she began collaborating with the museum for the valorization of its photographic collection. She specialized in visual archives with courses at Cineteca di Bologna, Fondazione Federico Zeri Bologna, ICCD Rome, ANAI. She is currently a doctoral fellow at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz, under the department of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wolf.
