Noemi Welk

Student Assistant

Noemi Welk is currently working as a student assistant in the Lise Meitner Group “Coded Objects” at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max Planck Institute, while also completing an Erasmus semester in architecture at the Università degli Studi di Firenze. After internships in various crafts, such as locksmith's and a carpenter's workshop, she has been studying architecture at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) since 2022. Moving around a lot within Italy, but also in Portugal and Finland when she was younger, she was able to gather impressions of different cultures at an early age, which continue to influence her today. In her bachelor's thesis, she designs a research center and explores the topic of modular construction. The architecture consists of three structures of different lengths, heights, and functions, which nevertheless appear as a single unit. For her project, she was nominated for the Ruth and Erich Rossmann Foundation's sponsorship award.
