Student Assistant

Clara Nicolay is studying art history for a master's degree at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, previously also in Turin and Rome, with a focus on the history of science and Italian art in transmedia contexts. She is particularly interested in the connection between text and image in pre-modern times. In her thesis "Young and Old. "Unequal Couples" in Italian Art of the 16th Century" she deals with narratives and representations of couples with significant age differences. In addition to her studies, she was assistant at the press and marketing department of Sotheby's Germany from 2016 to 2020. From 2017 to 2018, she completed the advanced training program Book and Media Practice at the University of Frankfurt. From October 2020 she will be a student assistant in the department of Prof. Dr. Alessandro Nova.
