Maximillian Hernandez, B.A.

Graduate Research Assistant

Maximillian Hernandez is currently an MA student in History of Art at the University of Florence, focusing on art in Italy from 1200 to 1500, and more specifically on the Quattrocento in Central Italy. He received a BA (cum laude) from the University of Florence in 2016 with a thesis on Andrea del Castagno and the Pazzi family. As research intern at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (Art of Europe Department) in 2017, he studied some of the collection's late medieval paintings; as curatorial intern at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in 2017, he assisted in the preparation of the exhibition Fra Angelico, Heaven on Earth. He is a student assistant working on publications in the Department Gerhard Wolf at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz since March 2018.
