Clara Forcht, M.A.

Postgraduate Research Assistant

Clara Forcht studied art history and cultural heritage conservation in Bamberg and Berlin. She completed her M.A. in 2023 with a thesis on modes of cultural entanglement in the medieval Mediterranean. In 2022, she was a student assistant in the KHI library, and returned in 2023 to work as a research assistant in Department Gerhard Wolf. She is currently preparing a PhD project on depictions of plants and landscape in early medieval Europe, and how those connect to the real landscapes surrounding the artwork, its production and liturgical use.
