Christopher Daly is a PhD candidate at Johns Hopkins University and the 2021-24 David E. Finley Fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies in the Visual Arts, Washington, D.C. A specialist in Italian Renaissance painting with a particular interest in the so-called ‘minor masters’ of late fifteenth-century Tuscany, he has published on several topics including the Florentine artist Jacopo del Sellaio, the late fifteenth-century Lucchese painters, and the workshop of Botticelli. He has also contributed to the exhibition catalogues Botticelli, artiste et designer (Paris 2021), Alvaro Pirez d’Évora: A Portuguese Painter on the Eve of the Renaissance (Lisbon 2019), and La Collection Alana: Chefs-d’oeuvre de la peinture italienne (Paris 2019), and held fellowships at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond; the Walters Art Museum, Baltimore; and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. He holds a BA in Art History from the State University of New York at New Paltz and an MA in Art History from Ohio University.
