Deimantas Narkevičius (b. 1964 in Utena, Lithuania) is probably best known for his films on memory and utopia. Originally trained as a sculptor, Narkevičius has been working on storytelling using film and video. Narkevičius’s works are included in the following permanent collections, to name just a few: Musée national d’art moderne (Paris), Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia (Madrid), Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, MACBA (Barcelona), Lithuanian Art Museum (Vilnius), Tate Modern (London), Van Abbemuseum (Eindhoven), Moderna Museet (Stockholm), The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (Humlebæk), Oslo National Museum for contemporary Arts (Oslo), Muzej Suvremene Umjetnosti (Zagreb), Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej w Warszawie (Warsaw), etc.
