Dr. Andreas Mandler

Andreas Mandler is a social scientist who graduated from Humboldt University of Berlin in Modern Philology, Central Asian Studies and East European History. After moving to Florence, he worked in the field of international development cooperation in projects in Europe, Asia and Africa, specializing in communication and rural development. With funding from the Volkswagen Foundation Andreas conducted the research project "Coping with Post-Soviet Agriculture: Knowledge and Local Governance in Smallholder Production in Tajikistan" at ZEF, Centre for Development Research at University of Bonn, were he received a PhD in the field of development studies. At Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz Andreas is an assistant to the office of research coordination and public relations.
