The Palazzo Grifoni: residence of Ugolino Grifoni, secretary of Grand-Duke Cosimo I, the Palazzo Grifoni was erected by Bartolomeo Ammannati in one of the most prominent sites in Florence between 1561 and 1565. The façade on the Piazza Santissima Annunziata was completed in 1772. The present interior with representative staircase and fresco decoration on the piano nobile goes back to the Budini Gattai family who acquired the palazzo in 1890.
