Local OPAC
The library’s online catalogue facilitates both title-related and, for the acquisition period since 1996, subject-related searches for monographs, essays, reviews and, more recently, access to electronic publications. The OPAC also lists the titles of all printed and electronic periodicals and journals available in the library in addition to several thousand auction catalogues.
KUBIKAT Collective Cataloguing System
The Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz has been operating an online specialist collective cataloguing and subject-indexing system in collaboration with the libraries of the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte
in Munich and the Bibliotheca Hertziana, Max-Planck-Institut für Kunstgeschichte
in Rome since May 1997. The Kubikat system currently lists all literature purchased and indexed by all three libraries.
artlibraries.net
artlibraries.net (Virtual Catalogue for Art History) is an initiative supported by the DFG in collaboration with the University Library of Karlsruhe, which is aimed at specialist art libraries participating in the national library services system. This catalogue aims to offer central, comprehensive access to the most important and relevant art history-related online art library catalogues. At present, the catalogue unifies 22 participating systems from 8 countries, and lists approximately 5.7 million bibliographic titles, including numerous articles from periodicals and anthologies.
Index Card Catalogue
A catalogue of journal articles arranged by author (1945-1996) and a classified subject catalogue based on these titles are available in the form of card indices. Plans are currently being made for their entry and integration into the OPAC.
